Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) is a general term for regulations, methods and processes designed to help protect workers, the environment and the public from harm. The methods and processes in HSE are learned through training and re-training of those exposed to hazards.

The Factories Act of 1987 and the cap 126 in 1990 and the factories act of 2004 by the Federal Government of Nigeria makes it compulsory for employers to provide a safe workplace for their employees.

Where should I start?

There are various specializations in the field of health and safety but the general hse(Level 1&2) training Course is a good place to start. Thereafter you should proceed to advanced hse (Level 3) supervision training course.The general and advanced hse courses cover the statutory (legal) minimum requirements for employees or job seekers.
